Risk and liability acknowledgment form
In the practice of outdoor adventure activities there are elements of risk, such as falls, storms, landslides, venomous animals and possibilities of accidents. The trip you've chosen takes place in a wild location, where all rescue procedures are time consuming and may take many hours, and mechanical breakdowns of the transport vehicle may delay or alter the trip. Tours with trails and hikes can be dangerous or present risks.
By this form, I sign and agree, on my own behalf and on behalf of my personal representatives, heirs and successors, to the following terms.

Activities covered by this form
I agree, as a precondition to my participation in hiking, wildlife watching, picnics, camping, swimming in the lagoons, outdoor activities, boat tours, trails and off-road driving, and any type of adventure tourism, and all related activities, organized and/or carried out by PARAÍSO DO CAJU TURISMO and/or partner companies of PARAÍSO DO CAJU TURISMO, that I give my consent to the terms of this Waiver, Assumption of Risk and Indemnification Agreement.
Physical and mental condition
I acknowledge and confirm that I am in physical and mental condition to take part in tours and outdoor activities, such as hiking, trails, any type of adventure tourism, and all related activities organized and/or carried out by PARAÍSO DO CAJU TURISMO and/or by PARTNER COMPANIES in the practice of activities related to sports, tours and hikes in Lençóis Maranhenses National Park and surrounding areas, which involve inherent responsibilities capable of causing injuries and risks to life, including risk of death for participants.
Awareness of risks and visitation rules
I fully understand the risks and dangers associated with my participation in events caused directly by my own actions during boat tours, hikes, ecotourism, off-road driving and all related activities, and I accept my own risk, following the visitation rules set out in ICMBio Ordinance No. 199/2017, the guidance of guides and visitor conductors, and posted signage.
Waiver of claims and insurance limits
I waive any claim for physical, material and/or non-material loss or damage that I may cause due to choices and decisions contrary to the instructions set forth herein, against PARAÍSO DO CAJU TURISMO, its staff and partners, assuming full responsibility for any injuries resulting from the use of firearms or edged weapons, sharp objects, or the use of jewelry, piercings or accessories during participation in the activities. I acknowledge that the existence of accident insurance included in the package does not exempt my responsibility and that its coverage is subject to the insurer's policies and clauses, including specific limits and exclusions. These conditions apply to ecotourism or adventure tourism activities organized by PARAÍSO DO CAJU TURISMO and/or its PARTNER COMPANIES.
Indemnification
I also agree to indemnify PARAÍSO DO CAJU TURISMO and PARAÍSO DO CAJU TURISMO's staff for any and all damages I may cause through my own fault, whether by negligence, recklessness or lack of skill, both material and moral, for damages caused to the company's image.
Use of image
I allow, subject to prior consent, PARAÍSO DO CAJU TURISMO to use photographs and videos of the hikes and tours carried out during ecotourism in any of its marketing or promotional activities.
Safety guidelines
To this end, I am aware that I must pay attention to all safety guidelines presented by PARAÍSO DO CAJU TURISMO before the hike/tour, as well as the guidance on using the appropriate items and equipment for my safety corresponding to the hike/tour, and that I will be responsible for any conduct that differs from the instructions received.
