A 30 km crossing through the heart of Lençóis Maranhenses, spending one night at Oásis Baixa Grande and trekking through dunes and lagoons to the Lagoa Bonita region.

Trilha da Bonita is an option for those who want to experience trekking through the heart of Lençóis Maranhenses in just two days.

The itinerary combines immersion in the dunes and lagoons of the National Park with a night at Oásis Baixa Grande, where the group stays in hammocks at a native family's home.

On the second day, the trek is longer and more intense, covering approximately 24 km on foot to the Lagoa Bonita region. Departure happens before dawn, allowing you to watch the sunrise and enjoy the lagoons along the way.

This experience is recommended for people with good stamina for prolonged hikes on sandy terrain.

Barreirinhas → Oásis Baixa Grande

Baixa Grande Oasis

Trekking: approximately 6 km

Walking time: 2 to 3 hours

Overnight: Oásis Baixa Grande

The day starts early. Pickup in Barreirinhas begins at 4:30 AM, with participants collected from their inns. For participants staying in Atins, pickup begins at 6:30 AM.

We head out by 4x4 vehicle to the area near Rio Negro, on an off-road route of approximately two hours along the access road to the National Park.

Along the way, we make a stop for breakfast and to watch the sunrise.

From there, the trek through the interior of the Lençóis begins. It's approximately 6 km to Oásis Baixa Grande, with stops for swimming in the lagoons and moments to take in the scenery.

Arrival at the oasis is expected around 10:30 AM.

After lunch and a rest period, we head back to the dunes to enjoy the lagoons and watch the sunset.

At the end of the day, we return to the community for dinner and an overnight stay in a hammock at a local family's home.

Included on this day: breakfast, lunch, dinner, and overnight stay.

Destination: Povoado Lagoa Bonita

The second day starts before dawn. Breakfast is served around 2:30 AM, and at 3 AM, the trek begins.

It's approximately 24 km to the Lagoa Bonita area, averaging 7 to 9 hours.

During the trek, we make stops for swimming in the lagoons and to watch the sunrise.

Arrival at Povoado Lagoa Bonita is expected around 11 AM. After arrival, lunch will be served, followed by a short rest period.

A 4x4 vehicle will then transport participants back to Barreirinhas, with drop-off at their inns.

Upon returning to Barreirinhas, the experience comes to an end.
